Florida Woman Stabs Parents After Eviction Fight, Goes Shopping Like Nothing Happened-1

After a horrifying attack on her parents, Christina Anne Adams believed her deadly work was done. Instead of fleeing or hiding, she changed her clothes, destroyed evidence, and casually went shopping — unaware that her mother had survived and her father was still alive for a few final moments.

A Family Argument Turns Fatal

The violence erupted on Sept. 16, 2022, inside the family home in Ocala, Florida. According to the Fifth Judicial Circuit State Attorney's Office, Adams, now 33, grew enraged after her parents, Richard and Sally Langer, told her she needed to move out. In a rage, she grabbed a large knife and stabbed both of her parents multiple times.

Richard managed to call 911, identifying his daughter as the attacker before succumbing to his injuries. Deputies arrived to find both Richard and Sally suffering from serious stab wounds.

Casual Aftermath: Changing Clothes and Running Errands

After the stabbings, Adams believed she had killed both her parents. Instead of staying at the scene, she changed her clothes, tried to destroy evidence, and went grocery shopping, the Marion County Sheriff's Office stated. Adams later met up with her wife, who said she noticed nothing unusual during their errands.

Authorities quickly located Adams driving nearby with her spouse. Initially denying involvement, Adams' version of events didn't match her spouse's account. Pressed by detectives, she eventually confessed to the brutal assault.

Swift Justice for a Brutal Crime

Jurors needed little time to convict Adams of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder. She was sentenced on April 16, 2025, to two life terms without the possibility of parole. Adams remains behind bars in the Marion County Jail.

Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods called the attacks "senseless acts of violence" and praised his team's rapid response: "I'm very proud of my deputies and detectives that worked so quickly to not only provide aid to the victims but also to capture such an evil person and ensure that our streets are safe," Woods said to ABC News.

Adams' shocking actions turned a family dispute into a devastating tragedy. Now, with two life sentences, she will spend the rest of her days behind bars, far from the home where her violent outburst ended one life and forever changed another.
