The investigation took a grim turn on Dec. 11, 2024, when police uncovered a decomposed human torso buried in a cemetery in Soria province. Officials believe the remains belong to the missing man, identified by El País as a 33-year-old Cuban, though forensic testing is ongoing.

Authorities shared footage of the body's recovery, highlighting the horrifying details of the case. The suspects are accused of not only murdering the man, but also dismembering his body to hide the evidence.
