Brody's Oscars Speech

During his acceptance speech, an emotional Brody acknowledged Chapman, 48, who was in the audience, as well as her two children.

"I share this with my amazing partner, Georgina, who has not only reinvigorated my own self-worth, but my sense of value and my values," Brody said, according to PEOPLE. "And her beautiful children, Dash and India, I know this has been a rollercoaster, but thank you for accepting me into your life, and Popsy's coming home a winner!"

While Brody's comments were intended as a personal tribute, they reignited discussions about Weinstein's past and the impact of his downfall on his family.

Weinstein's Response From Jail

Weinstein, who is currently serving a 23-year prison sentence for multiple sexual assault and rape convictions in New York and California, reacted through a statement issued by his representatives.

In response to Brody's speech, a spokesperson told USA TODAY, "Harvey is very happy for Georgina and grateful that his children are being cared for (and) loved as they deserve to be." His statement, notably devoid of any criticism, suggests an effort to focus on his children's well-being rather than engage in controversy over Brody's remarks.

Chapman and Brody's Relationship

Chapman married Weinstein in 2007 and filed for divorce in 2017 after more than 80 women accused him of sexual misconduct. She was granted primary custody of their children following the separation.

In 2019, Chapman and Brody reconnected at a dinner, and their chemistry quickly reignited. By early 2020, they were officially a couple, and made their red-carpet debut at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival. Since then, they've been nearly inseparable, attending events together and supporting each other's careers. The couple currently lives in upstate New York with Chapman's two children.

Adrien Brody's Oscars tribute offered a rare glimpse into the private life he shares with Georgina Chapman and her children, blending personal gratitude with public recognition. Weinstein's unexpected response, focused on his children's well-being, adds a layer of complexity to an already emotionally charged moment. As Brody and Chapman continue to build a life together, their story underscores the power of resilience, reinvention, and moving forward.
