The First Rule About Fight Club Is That You Don't Talk About It — Unless It's Pre-K - main

A shocking video showing preschoolers fighting inside a classroom in January 2025 has surfaced, leaving parents outraged and demanding answers. The footage, allegedly recorded by a teacher, shows young children encouraged to fight each other while staff watch. One mother says her son was left traumatized.

Leaked Video Sparks Outrage

Viral footage from Riveroaks Elementary School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, reveals a chaotic pre-K classroom where young children were allegedly recorded fighting each other as teachers watched. One teacher even laughed while the other teacher broke up the fight, according to reports.

In another clip, the same boy is repeatedly punched as a teacher allegedly films, telling another child who attempted to break up the fight, "That ain't got nothing to do with you," according to WAFB.

Parents were outraged upon discovering the situation, including Olevia Robinson, whose son was attacked in both videos. "He may have not been physically hurt, seriously hurt, but mentally he was hurt. Emotionally, he was hurt," she told WAFB. "His trust was hurt. He can't trust anyone at the school."

School Fires Teachers

Robinson initially planned to meet with her son's teachers regarding behavioral concerns they had raised. However, upon receiving the footage from another parent, she bypassed the teachers and contacted the school's principal instead. When questioned, the teachers claimed they were recording to document the child's behavior, but Robinson argued the footage only showed her son being attacked — not acting as an aggressor.

Robinson was previously informed by staff at Riveroaks Elementary School that her son had behavioral issues, and he had recently been suspended for allegedly kicking another student.

In response to the incident, East Baton Rouge Schools Superintendent LaMont Cole condemned the teachers' alleged actions as "downright disgusting" and reassured parents that this behavior does not represent the district as a whole, according to WAFB. The two staff members involved are no longer employed by the East Baton Rouge Parish School System, which stated that immediate action was taken and that they are actively reviewing the situation to ensure accountability and reinforce student safety.

Who's Watching the Teachers?

Many are questioning how such a disturbing incident could unfold inside a school. The fact that a staff member allegedly recorded the fights instead of stopping them raises serious concerns about school safety and staff qualifications. "You send your children to school to be protected, to learn and they failed him," Robinson told WAFB.

Another School Caught Promoting Child Fights

In a separate incident, a St. Louis day care center in 2016 faced allegations of organizing a "toddler fight club" after a video surfaced showing young children encouraged to fight each other, according to NBC News. The footage, recorded by a concerned student, depicted staff members egging on the brawling toddlers, leading to widespread outrage and an investigation into the facility's practices.

Although the teachers involved were fired, they did not face criminal charges. The St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office stated there was not enough evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that any laws had been broken.

Parents Demand Justice

As investigations continue, parents are demanding justice and hoping this disturbing case sparks real change — ensuring no other child experiences the same trauma. The emotional toll on families has been overwhelming, leaving many questioning the safety of their own children in the classroom. Meanwhile, Robinson is focused on finding a new school where her son can feel safe, rebuild his trust, and move forward from this heartbreaking ordeal.
