Woman Found Dead, Naked on Florida Highway

Nearly three months after Nahomi Cittadini was found naked and lifeless on the side of Interstate 95, the shocking truth about her death has come to light. Her boyfriend, Lorent Junior Pion, claimed she jumped from his car during an argument — but newly uncovered traffic footage tells a far more disturbing story. Now, he's facing a murder charge, and the chilling details of what really happened that morning are finally emerging.
A Chilling Discovery on the Highway
On Dec. 7, 2024, Florida Highway Patrol troopers responded to multiple 911 calls about a couple arguing on the side of the road near Ives Dairy Road. When officers arrived, they found 21-year-old Cittadini's body, undressed, lying near the highway. "There is a piece of clothing next to here, so I wouldn't be able to tell you how exactly her clothes were removed, but there is some clothing next to her body," Miami-Dade Police Detective Luis Sierra said at the time, as reported by WSVN.
Pion, 29, initially told police that Cittadini had jumped out of his vehicle during an argument and was struck by a passing car. However, new evidence painted a much darker picture.
Traffic Footage Contradicts His Story
Investigators reviewed surveillance footage from Florida Department of Transportation cameras, which captured a violent struggle. According to the arrest warrant, a man — believed to be Pion — was allegedly seen punching a woman and dragging her toward the highway.
"The victim crawled back to the emergency shoulder," the witness reported, according to CBS News. "The subject punched the victim and dragged her back to the far-right lane in the path of oncoming traffic."
Moments later, an oncoming sedan struck Cittadini. The driver stopped, but Pion allegedly walked away, leaving her injured on the road. The footage also reportedly showed Pion attempting to move her body before getting back into his vehicle and driving off.
A History of Violence
The arrest warrant revealed that this was not the first instance of domestic violence between the couple. In August 2024, Cittadini had filed a protective order against Pion after a previous incident in Miami Beach. Despite this, the two continued their relationship.
Investigators also found blood both inside and outside Pion's vehicle, further contradicting his claim that she had simply fallen from the car.
A Mother's Plea for Justice
Cittadini's mother, Maria Benitez, expressed relief that charges had finally been filed against Pion. "I know that's not going to bring my daughter back, but at least she'll rest easier," she told CBS News. "He has to pay."
Benitez also revealed that Pion had video-called Cittadini's father after the incident, showing him her phone, Apple Watch, and purse, which he later kept at his sister's house.
Facing Murder Charges
Pion was initially arrested for fleeing from police and failing to stop at the scene. However, with the new evidence, he has now been formally charged with second-degree murder.
This tragic story highlights the dangers of domestic violence and the importance of seeking help. As the case moves forward, it serves as a chilling example of how vital it is to recognize the warning signs of abuse — and to take action before it's too late.
